The new Witness Statement rules – The highs and lows, one year on

29th June 2022 @ 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Hogan Lovells International LLP, Atlantic House, Holborn Viaduct, London EC1A 2FG

The Junior LSLA and Junior Combar are pleased to announce that th eywill be holding a panel discussion and networking evening on the New Witness Statement rules.

Since the new rules came into force on 6 April 2021, the Pilot Scheme has changed the way in which trial witness statements of fact in the Business and Property Courts must be prepared. The rules were designed to address widespread concern expressed by Court users and legal professionals that trial witness statements were overly long and over-lawyered and to promote and enforce best practice.

Our esteemed panellists will bring their unique experiences to a wide-ranging discussion that will cover the formation of the rules and their goals from those who formed part of the Witness Evidence working group, as well as offering plenty of practical tips and insight into best practices and working cases caught by the new rules. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.

The discussion will be followed by drinks, nibbles and an opportunity to network.

The event is kindly being hosted by Hogan Lovells LLP.

We hope you can join us for what will be an insightful and informative discussion.
