Events & Lectures
The LSLA runs a variety of popular events for its members each year, ranging from an established lecture programme to seminars on topical legal issues to social events for networking. The JLSLA hosts events targeted at junior litigators. By creating an environment in which everyone at these events will have a similar level of qualification, the intention is that members will feel more comfortable in approaching one another and developing contacts within their peer group. Many of those events are organised in connection with bar associations, with the aim of encouraging contact and interaction between civil litigators and barristers.
Please note - when booking paying events, in order to receive the member rate, the booking must be made with the member's LSLA registered email address.
If paying by bank transfer, please use the booking reference number as the payment reference.
LSLA Safeguarding Policy
The LSLA is committed to ensuring its members, guests and sponsors have an enjoyable experience and are treated with respect.
Accordingly, it expects its members, guests and sponsors to adopt behaviours and conduct that are consistent with this commitment.
If you have any concerns about inappropriate language or behaviour at any of our events, please do raise those concerns in a way that is most comfortable to you. This could be by speaking to members of the LSLA Committee or Junior LSLA Committee who are present at the event, or by emailing either Nikki Edwards (Nikki.Edwards@howardkennedy.com) or John McElroy (jmcelroy@hausfeld.com).
Subject to any legal or regulatory obligations on the Association, anything you raise with us will be treated sensitively, confidentially and will not be taken further without us discussing with you first.
In adopting this policy the LSLA does not intend to confer or limit any legal rights or expectations.
