Criminal and civil fraud claims increasingly overlap, particularly when they have an international element. This talk takes a practical look at the issues which arise, including:
- Handling civil claims where the client faces an extradition request from abroad;
- The impact of INTERPOL notices, and how to challenge them;
- Protecting witnesses and evidence in English proceedings from foreign law enforcement agencies;
- Future trends and issues to watch for.
The lecture will start at 6 p.m.and last approximately one hour, to include a period for questions at the end, and will be followed by drinks.
